Simon has a secret. He's a male omega and he's spent years avoiding
his mate and hiding the truth from the Lupinville pack, so what happens when
Maggie realizes and sends Lukas to check on him just as he goes into
heat?
A Lupinville Quick Bite Story - 5,250 words
Excerpt:
Lukas had no idea what was happening. Simon's
scent was…off somehow, not quite right, but it was his own reaction to it that
was downright embarrassing. He half hoped he could get away from here without
Simon smelling his arousal and he half wanted to knock the damn door in and
devour the man.
Fuck, just the thought made him certain that
all of him needed to knock the door down.
"Simon, please," he said, trying
to stay calm and focused. "I need you to open the door for me. I need to
see with my own eyes that you're all right."
"I'm…I'm fine," Simon stammered in
a less than convincing voice.
"Damn it, Simon. Open the door."
He was very happy to realize that Simon was
giving in and doing what he asked, but he was also freaked out by his own
reaction. The closer Simon got, the stronger his scent was, and the harder
Lukas's cock grew.
The door opened to reveal the barest slither
of light.
"Lukas," the man said on a shaky
breath. "I'm fine. Tell Maggie I'll call her."
The man didn't look fine at all. In fact, if
he'd been human, Lukas would have diagnosed him with a serious infection of
some sort. He was flushed and sweating, shaking and bleary eyed.
Lukas shook his head, placed his hand on the
door and pushed it open wider.
"You're not fine. Simon, you need help.
I'm a paramedic. Let me check you over."
"I don't need a paramedic," Simon said, backing away, his reaction almost fearful. "I'll…be fine tomorrow."
"You've had this before?"
Simon laughed, the sound near hysterical.
"Yes, I've had it before. It goes away." He gazed longingly at Lukas
before shaking his head and swallowing hard. "It only lasts a couple of
days. Please go away."
"Simon, let me help you," Lukas
pleaded as he reached for the man. The guy backed away as if Lukas's touch
might burn him.
"You can't help me. You don't
understand. No one can help me."
Lukas didn't know what to say. Werewolves
didn't get sick. They had an amazing immune system and any time they changed
forms it healed all their injuries. It was one of the theories on why
werewolves lived so long. It was very likely that Simon was right that Lukas
wouldn't be able to help, but he wasn't going to leave him to suffer alone
either.
This time when he reached for Simon he
didn't let the man get away. He nearly sagged in relief when he felt Simon give
up fighting and relax against him. It wasn't until the man's hard cock brushed
against his own that he realized their predicament. He'd known this sensation
only once before in his life.
The conclusion stunned him, but he had to
ask, had to know for certain.
"You're an omega?"
